Richard Adams was born in May 9 1920 in England. Before he became an author,he was called up to fight the war 1940 as part of the Royal Army Service Corps.In 1946,returned to his college for 2 more years and got a Bachelor and Masters of arts degree in 1948 and 1953.Finally,as an author, he begun his story of "Watership Down" when his two daughters wanted a long story to be told to them. He published the story in 2 years per-request by his daughters, which became a modern classic and sold 50 million copies worldwide.Now at the age of 92,Adams is still here and currently resides with his wife and children in Hampshire.Other books he wrote consisted of The Plague Dogs and Shardik,as well as many others.
